Last Friday was the most beautiful day ever. (6/15/12) My mother and I rode our bikes for a total of 12 miles. It was fantastic! This is Glacier National Park. We started at Avalanche campground where the road is closed while the pass is plowed. We made it up to the arches which is below "the loop". It was a fantastic ride. We saw a mountain goat way up on the mountain side. We heard that we had just missed a Grizzly Bear and her cub. We saw a bull moose on the way back home, but when we went back to the area a few minutes later it had moved on. Still, it was an incredible day. I hope so share some of these pictures I got on that day. Unfortunately I am limited to the morning to do this, while no one else is on the computer, so please, bare with me! Meanwhile enjoy!

Absolutely majestic! The shape of the mountains in the background and the realization of the size of the glaciation that helped form them, the play of the cloud shadows here and there, the shadows on the steep slope right in the center of the shot, all put together to make a magnificent image.
